DESCRIPTION:This is a corporate partner event and precursor to the Members' Monthly Mixer.  Corporate partner colleagues are welcome to join nglccNY and ARRIVE for programming\, speakers\, and breakout rooms to discuss and gain insight into LGBTQ+ community health and wellness connectivity.\n\n\n\nJared Kaplan (Moderator)\n\nArrive Founder\, Pilates & Personal Trainer\, Jared is sought after as a teacher\, trainer\, presenter\, and entrepreneur. He is also an accomplished dancer and Pilates instructor. \n\nJared has been featured in advanced workshops internationally (China\, Mexico)\, as well as across the USA and he continues to advance his personal studies with the brightest minds in movement and rehabilitation\, including Jean-Claude West\, Mark Comerford\, Madeline Black\, Dr. Guy Voyer\, Gil Hedley\, and Paul Chek. Jared founded Arrive with the aim to provide business and personal wellness to the wellness provider. \n\n\n\nConor Wagar (Panelist)\n\nFounder and Trainer of CRW Fitness.  As a former national-level figure skater\, Conor  developed a passion for health and fitness through his intense athletic career. He brings the knowledge of high-level fitness to all his clients and focuses on developing clients' muscle tone and helping them lose body fat through simple functional daily movements. He focuses on helping clients in the gym and with their daily personal nutrition through simple lifestyle habit changes. Through his passion for fitness\, Conor instills a love of fitness and health to all his clients.\n\n\n\nJacqueline Woodson (Panelist)\n\nJacqueline Woodson is an American writer of books for adults\, children\, and adolescents. She is best known for her National Book Award-Winning memoir Brown Girl Dreaming\, and her Newbery Honor-winning titles After Tupac and D Foster\, Feathers\, and Show Way. Her picture books The Day You Begin and The Year We Learned to Fly were NY Times Bestsellers. After serving as the Young People's Poet Laureate from 2015 to 2017\, she was named the National Ambassador for Young People's Literature by the Library of Congress for 2018 19. She was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 2020. Later that same year\, she was named a MacArthur Fellow.\n\n\n\nKei Williams (Panelist)\n\nInterim Executive Director of NEW Pride Agenda.  Born and raised in Upstate\, NY\, Kei Williams is a Black queer transmasculine organizer and self-taught artist. A founding member of Black Lives Matter New York City\, the aim of Kei's work is to transform global culture from the individual into a systemic analysis of structural oppression. They use decentralization as a framework to approach their activism\, relationships\, and political theory of change\, a praxis they learned with Movement NetLab. Over the past decade\, they have extended their lens of service to organizations like Rhize\, People's Climate Movement\, and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute. Kei has presented and provided learning experiences at several institutions and serves on the Leadership Council for the Mellon Initiative for Inclusive Faculty Excellence at The New School. In 2022\, Kei was honored with the Black Voices for Black Justice Award as a leader in the fight for racial justice. They are a homebody\, kept company by their dog and dozen inherited plants.
