This session covers what an RFP is, the rationale for use of RFPs, response to RFPs and what organizations expect from vendor submissions. Topics to be included:

• Importance of competitive bidding and creating a level playing field
• Creation of detailed scopes with specific evaluation criteria
• The inclusion of diverse vendors in RFPs
• What’s included in an RFP, including scope, types of questions, and potential inclusion of security and ethics (and why these would be included)
• What’s considered a good submission: answering completely, using format requested in the RFP for any file submissions, and responding to all questions asked directly without selling up 

• How to better respond to RFPs
• A better understanding of reasons for the inclusion of certain topics within RFPs
